My top 5 things in the 2021 5DayDeal Photography Bundle
Just taking a quick glance at the laundry list of contributors to this bundle could make one’s head spin trying to process everything there is to offer. So here’s a quick breakdown of my favorite contributions from the 2021 Photography Bundle.
Main Bundle
Colin Smith’s Action Pack- As someone who likes to be efficient in my editing I tend to stay inside Adobe Lightroom for both organizing/culling & editing with a bit of Photoshop for more intense things as needed. I also utilize a variety of custom & purchased presets which get me close to the looks I want quickly allowing for minor tweaks after to finesse the image. This pack adds some interesting presets which I didn’t have before so there’s more options to quickly adjust images.
Unlock the Power of Lightroom Range Masks- As someone who uses localized adjustment layers on a regular basis, there have definitely been times I wished I could have a bit more control of certain areas. I actually only learned of color range masks in early 2020, and this course gave me even more ways to use both the luminance & color range masks effectively… AND in situations I hadn’t thought of before! I’m stoked to re-edit some of my images to get a bit more out of areas I had hoped to before.
Pro Bundle
Photo Planning with PhotoPills- I’ve been using PhotoPills for a few years now, but never really used it to its fullest potential. I would use some of the simple features like the Planner pill & AR in said pill just to see approximate sun location for upcoming shoots while scouting. This course opened up a lot more potential to really hone in my shoots maximizing everything PhotoPills has to offer.
Macro Photography: The universe at our feet- Needing to get macro shots isn’t something I need to do often, and quite frankly could probably benefit from doing more. However there’s always something I forget when needed & this E-book will come in clutch to help with that. As a PDF file I already have it in my dropbox folder of photo resources at the ready. This will allow me to pop it open quick whenever I’m struggling to get the detail I’m hoping for in a macro image.
The Headshot Intensive ONLINE- Peter Hurley is world renowned as a headshot guru. I’ve had the opportunity to meet him & actually stand in front of his lens at a trade show before. Headshots are also a great easy source of side-money even if your main work is in some other realm of photography. He breaks down every aspect of what to do in a easy to understand way that will help anyone get going.
Don’t forget about the gear giveaway too!!!
Bonus Bundle!
Master the Night Sky- Pre-Covid night images weren’t really my thing… if I did get one it was usually an afterthought when I couldn’t sleep. I never really went out trying to get something. While I’ve done some interesting attempts at astrophotography over the last year… this course really broke down some of the research things I need to be doing better so I can have better success when out attempting astro goodness.
