Picture Profile Settings
Let’s talk about picture profile settings for the Sony a7iii!
It’s super important for me to have a smaller file size when the amount of power I have is questionable overseas. Any chance I get to save battery life is one that I take… Which means proactive settings.
The amount of battery life I have during shoots isn’t always the problem though, it’s more about not wasting battery life during the offload. So, I need to have the least amount of data per file to ensure quicker offload time.
Of course, sacrificing quality isn’t an option so I’m after a really good look with a flexible file.
Enter Cine4 Picture profile. It gives a flat image with good latitude for color correction.
All of my cameras are color matched, which makes it easy for editing and in color correction. In order to ensure this, one of my first steps is to line up cameras side by side to make sure to have all picture profiles match. This seemingly simple step before a shoot actually cuts down on the amount of correction and matching needed!
