It’s crazy how time flies, and facebook reminded us of this Behind the Scenes video that was dropped 4 years ago today!! This was such a fun project, and we are still able to help E4 Project grow using content from this trip.

Chasing the fall foliage around New York State in September and October led to some funky camera bag set ups. Every trip out into the woods led to a slightly different set up depending on time, weather, and whether I was going for time-lapse or not. All while also needing to quickly pull a camera out so I could have it by me while driving for those random road-side moments which can’t be missed! what went into the core kit?! Well… let’s dig in!

Before heading to West Africa in March I decided to pick up a satellite communication device. This was because the region I was heading into is a higher tension area and my mom wanted guaranteed communication ability. At the same time, I was trying to pack ultralight on this trip as it was just me having to haul camera equipment around.

Upon doing some research about what would fit my needs, the Garmin Inreach Mini became the obvious choice…

I'd like to think we’re starting to see how life is going to be for the next few years as Covid-19 gets sorted out. Travel is slowly starting again domestically in most countries, which is giving us a glimpse into how both land & air travel will go. Quite frankly, this has also allowed me to give some thought into also trying to travel a bit more eco-friendly.
